Marlborough and the mast...

If emf were a drug...
not researched prior to release 
...because its a bit like the others on sale and something similar occurs in ridiculously low concentrations (and much less homogenous) in the plants 
...so is released for everyone because like most drugs these days its wonderful and will prevent lots of things you may not have.

...and then you start getting yellow cards ~ reports of possible side effects
...from all sorts of different places ~ hundreds of miles apart
... and they are consistent 
...and a bit worrying ~ exactly 
what some of those independent scientists predicted
...and seeming to be a significant percentage of the population ~ like you find when there is genetic susceptibility to side effects. 

What do you do?

Think oh, this is a bit worrying and withdraw it ?
Yes, if it's a drug...
but lots of people like to take secret photos and tell people they are on a train ~ so not quite good enough to stop masts.

Make a statement to say ~ this drug is possibly dangerous ~ take it at your own risk?

Never if it was a drug ~ disclaimer wouldn't stand up in court
but this is a mast and 22 billion pounds + did change hands and if the operators aren't happy they might ask for more back

...and then New Labour would have to put up taxes and it's an election year ~ well maybe not.

Say, it's never been proven definitively ~ peer reviewed and proven absolutely to be dangerous (and the Government and operators are certainly not going to fund THAT sort of research) so keep on having it put in the tap water 
Well ~ any pharmaceutical firms' lawyers would now be having cardiac massage and a lot of blondes running around talking in acronyms! 

But masts is different...
...and one day someone will tell me why...

If we took this approach to drugs, we would still be dishing out Thallidomide.
